Skincare

Last year I had the worst break out in my entire life, and it absolutely tanked my self-esteem. I started spending hours online watching skin-care routines and swiping my credit card each time I might’ve found the next “perfect” product. I ended up spending thousands of dollars at Sephora and Ulta, ruining my skin barrier, and breaking out even worse than before. I even stopped eating cheese, which if you know me..this was unthinkable.

At this point, I was desperate and needed to change my approach. My time and money would be better spent going to dermatologist, and now I have wisdom for that experience, a solid skin care regime, and healthier approach to skin care that I’ll share below.

My Skin care philosophy:

  1. There will be no fragranced products on My face

  2. Being consistent is better than being fancy

  3. Keep removing Your makeup until nothing transfers on a cotton pad

  4. Just because a product is viral doesn’t mean that it is good enough for you

  5. Seek a licensed professional before listening to an influencer

My Routine:

Morning Routine:

Pre workout

  1. Rinse with water

  2. Apply a light moisturizer

    Post workout

  3. Use a face wash

    •  Every other day, I use a face wash with Benzoyl Peroxide

  4. Apply a day-time Moisturizer

Night Routine:

  1. Micellar Water with cotton pad

  2. Oil Cleanse - only when wearing makeup

  3. Face Wash

  4. Apply Treatment - Tretinoin

  5. Night Moisturizer
